Question 1 of 20
1. Question
The Twelve Days of Christmas is one of the most popular Christmas Carols. The song is about the gifts someone receives from his or her true love in the twelve days of Christmas. It is a cumulative song, meaning that the first verse describes a gift given by “my true love” on first day of Christmas, then the second verse describes another gift given on the second day and repeating the first gift. Subsequent verses follow the same pattern, so that each verse is one line longer than the one that was sung before.
Watch the Muppet version of The Twelve Days of Christmas and fill in the gifts of the eleventh, sixth and second day.
