How to form a structure with ‘to be going to’ and how to use it correctly.

form

be (am/are/is) + going to + infinitive (I am going to get back to work.)

use

  • a future intention:  you have decided to do something in the future (I am going to clean my room.)
  • a future prediction based on evidence (Look at those clouds. It’s going to rain.)
